My name is Fatemah Mutaer, the publisher of NZTeen Mental Health and Wellness, a website publication addressing mental health and wellbeing of New Zealand teens aged between 13 and 19 years old. I’m a current student at Massey University Albany Campus.

Currently, I am studying Bachelor of Arts Majoring English Minor Education. I intend to become an accredited teacher of English language. More so, I look forward to becoming an expert in education and leadership. That way, I am able to leverage my knowledge and skills to nurture, empower, and teach students.

Part of my responsibility as a teacher is to ensure my students achieve academic excellence and socioeconomic productivity. Among the key issues that affect student academics is their mental health and wellbeing. For that reason, I decided to research and develop a publication to assist my students and other teenagers to understand some of the issues that affect their academic performance and social life.

In this publication, I focused on Alcohol and substance abuse, Borderline personality disorder, Depression, Eating Disorder, Grieving, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Parental Terminal Illness , Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Sex and Teen pregnancies, and Suicide. These are among the key issues I was motivated to research and publish because of  their prevalence.

The goal is to ensure that young New Zealanders and other teenagers who access the WordPress grow up into socially productive individuals in their society. For every young person out there, be sure to share about young problems. If you need help right not, CLICK HERE FOR EMERGENCY HELP
